Avoid alcohol for at least 24 hours beforehand, and limit caffeine on the day of treatment. If medically appropriate, pause blood-thinning medications or supplements such as aspirin, ibuprofen, or fish oils for three days prior. Please consult with your GP before stopping any prescribed medication.
As Profhilo® is injected just beneath the surface of the skin, it is important that the treatment area is calm and free from irritation. Avoid advanced facial treatments such as chemical peels, IPL, needling, or microdermabrasion for at least two weeks before your appointment.
If you have recently been unwell, are currently taking antibiotics, or have received a vaccination, it is best to wait at least two weeks. If you have an active skin infection, cold sore, or significant irritation in the treatment area, your appointment may need to be rescheduled.
Avoid touching, massaging, or applying pressure to treated areas for the remainder of the day. Strenuous exercise, alcohol, and heat exposure - including saunas, steam rooms, hot yoga, or intense sun - should be avoided for 48 hours.
Initial hydration is often noticed within the first few days.
Most significant results visible 4 weeks after the second session.
Results typically last between 6 and 12 months.
