Profhilo® is an award-winning bio-remodelling treatment formulated with one of the highest concentrations of pure hyaluronic acid available. THE SCIENCE.
Profhilo® contains stabilised, ultra-pure hyaluronic acid formulated using a patented thermal stabilisation process, allowing the product to disperse smoothly beneath the skin.
This process stimulates fibroblast activity - the cells within the skin responsible for producing collagen and elastin, two key proteins that support skin firmness, elasticity, and overall structure.
Through this process of bio-remodelling, skin hydration, elasticity, and overall tissue quality gradually improve over time before the product is naturally metabolised by the body.
INDICATIONS.
Profhilo® is suited to individuals looking to improve overall skin quality. It is particularly beneficial for those noticing changes such as reduced hydration, loss of radiance, or early signs of skin ageing.
THE TREATMENT.
Profhilo® is a quick and well-tolerated treatment, but for additional comfort, numbing cream can be applied beforehand if desired.
Treatment is performed using the Bio Aesthetic Points (BAP) technique - a structured approach designed to achieve even distribution of the product beneath the skin. You may experience a brief stinging sensation at each injection point due to the purity of the hyaluronic acid, however this is usually short-lived, with most treatments completed within minutes.
Profhilo® is typically performed as an initial course of two treatments spaced four weeks apart.

WHAT TO EXPECT.

PRE-TREATMENT
Prior to your appointment, you will complete a medical history form to ensure treatment is safe and appropriate for you.
To help minimise bruising, avoid alcohol for 24 hours before treatment and limit caffeine on the day where possible. Advanced skin treatments such as chemical peels, IPL, or microdermabrasion should also be avoided for two weeks prior to treatment.
It is also recommended to allow a minimum of two weeks between any dental procedures or vaccinations and Profhilo® treatment.

POST-TREATMENT
It is normal to experience small, visible bumps at each injection point immediately following treatment, which typically settle within 12–24 hours as the product begins to disperse beneath the skin.
Mild redness, swelling, tenderness, warmth, or slight stinging may also occur temporarily following treatment and generally resolves quickly.
For the first 24–48 hours, avoid excessive pressure, strenuous exercise, alcohol, and heat exposure, including saunas and steam rooms. Facials, massage, advanced skin treatments, dental procedures, and air travel should also be postponed for at least two weeks following treatment.

RESULTS & LONGEVITY
Profhilo® delivers both immediate and progressive improvement, with increased hydration often noticeable within the first few days following treatment. Improvements in skin texture, elasticity, and overall skin quality continue to develop gradually over the following weeks.
The most significant results are typically seen around four weeks after the second treatment, once collagen and elastin stimulation has occurred and the skin has had time to regenerate.
Results typically last between six and nine months, depending on individual skin condition and lifestyle factors. Maintenance treatments are generally recommended every four to six months to support ongoing hydration, firmness, and overall skin quality.

RISKS & POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS
Profhilo® is formulated with highly purified hyaluronic acid - a substance naturally found within the body - and is widely considered a safe and well-tolerated treatment when performed appropriately. However, as with any injectable procedure, risks and possible side effects can occur.
Temporary redness, swelling, tenderness, bruising, or small bumps at the injection sites may occur following treatment and generally resolve quickly. Less commonly, infection, delayed swelling, or allergic reaction can occur. Vascular complications are extremely rare, but can occur. Treatments are performed with advanced clinical training and carefully considered protocols to ensure complications are recognised and managed appropriately should they arise.
