PROFHILO STRUCTURA
Profhilo Structura® is an advanced injectable treatment designed to support facial structure and address age-related changes in facial volume and support. By targeting the superficial fat compartments of the face, it helps restore facial balance, support, and subtle definition while maintaining a natural, refined appearance.
THE SCIENCE.
Profhilo Structura® is formulated with stabilised hyaluronic acid designed to target the superficial fat compartments of the face - the structural layer responsible for facial support, contour, and soft tissue balance.
With age, or following significant weight loss, these fat compartments gradually diminish and weaken, contributing to reduced support through the mid and lower face, along with changes in contour and facial structure.
By stimulating cellular activity within the adipose tissue, Profhilo Structura helps support and strengthen these compartments. Over time, this improves facial structure, elasticity, and tissue integrity, while the product is gradually and naturally metabolised by the body.
INDICATIONS.
Profhilo Structura® is designed for individuals experiencing age-related volume loss, reduced facial support, and changes in contour through the mid and lower face.
THE TREATMENT.
Profhilo Structura® is a quick and well-tolerated treatment, but for additional comfort, numbing cream can be applied beforehand if desired.
You may experience a mild stinging sensation due to the purity of the hyaluronic acid, along with a slight feeling of pressure during treatment, however this is typically short-lived. Most appointments are completed within 30-40 minutes.
Profhilo Structura® is typically performed as an initial course of two treatments spaced four weeks apart.

WHAT TO EXPECT.

PRE-TREATMENT
Prior to your appointment, you will complete a medical history form to ensure treatment is safe and appropriate for you.
To help minimise bruising, avoid alcohol for 24 hours before treatment and limit caffeine on the day where possible. Advanced skin treatments such as chemical peels, IPL, or microdermabrasion should also be avoided for two weeks prior to treatment.
It is also recommended to allow a minimum of two weeks between any dental procedures or vaccinations and Profhilo Structura® treatment.

POST-TREATMENT
It is normal to experience small lumps in the areas where the product was injected immediately following treatment, which typically settle within 12–24 hours as the product begins to disperse beneath the skin.
Mild redness, swelling, tenderness, warmth, or slight stinging may also occur temporarily following treatment and generally resolves quickly.
For the first 24–48 hours, avoid excessive pressure, strenuous exercise, alcohol, and heat exposure, including saunas and steam rooms. Facials, massage, advanced skin treatments, dental procedures, vaccinations, and air travel should also be postponed for at least two weeks following treatment.

RESULTS & LONGEVITY
Some clients may notice subtle fullness immediately following treatment due to the initial presence of the product. As the product begins to disperse, this temporary effect settles before the true results gradually develop.
Profhilo Structura® works progressively within the deeper tissue layers, supporting regeneration within the superficial fat compartments and helping restore facial support over time. Improvements in firmness, structure, and contour typically become more noticeable over the following weeks, with full results usually visible around eight to twelve weeks after completing the treatment course.
Results typically last between six and nine months depending on individual factors such as age, metabolism, and lifestyle. Maintenance treatments are generally recommended every four to six months to support ongoing structural integrity and facial support over time.

RISKS & POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS
Profhilo Structura® is formulated with highly purified hyaluronic acid - a substance naturally found within the body - and is widely considered a safe and well-tolerated treatment when performed appropriately. However, as with any injectable procedure, risks and possible side effects can occur.
Temporary redness, swelling, tenderness, bruising, or small bumps at the injection sites may occur following treatment and generally settle quickly. Less commonly, infection, delayed swelling, or allergic reaction can occur. Vascular complications are extremely rare, but remain a potential risk with any injectable treatment. Treatments are performed with advanced clinical training and carefully considered protocols to ensure complications are recognised and managed appropriately should they arise.
